You’ll spend 6 weeks finishing your book by receiving professional guidance and the support of a select symposium of creative minds. You’ll receive personal instruction on how to resolve plot-point issues, flesh out characters, propel action and create conflict for your storyline. By the end of this online/in-house workshop, you will have the tools to finish your novel. Objectives Revise, complete and/or polish your novel draft so it's ready to go to the agent/publisher Enjoy guided critiques and valuable feedback from your instructor and the selected group of creatives that make up your class Give critiques and feedback on the novels of your classmates Learn insider tricks on how to kick writer's block, finish your book and press "send." Who should take this workshop: Novelists with material comprising more than 10,000 words and who want to flesh out their narratives and then receive guidance and feedback on their manuscript during the class Writers who are serious about getting their book published and are ready to stop procrastinating -- literary agent info is provided -- and who don't want to look like a rookie when they query an agent for representation Authors who are interested in advise from a best-selling author to help polish their work This course can be taken either completely online, physically in class or any combination of the two. Those who have already enrolled intend to either use the online attendance exclusively or as an option for the days they can't make it. Enrollees are both local and out-of-state. The easy, low-tech tutorial modules will be distributed online, and the 2-hour Wednesday workshops will serve as a symposium on our progress. Very easy, low-tech instructions on how to attend the workshops online in real time will be available upon enrollment. It is a lively, fun, creative, action-oriented course. Enrollment is limited due to the extent of individual attention devoted to each manuscript.
